My primary concentration is architectural photography, interior photography and low level aerial photography. I bring a strong advertising perspective to my subjects and strive for a very dynamic style.
I am located in Silver Spring Maryland just outside of Washington DC. My service area includes Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Washington DC, & West Virginia. But I will travel anywhere.
I have been interested in taking pictures and printing them since I was about 12 years old. As a teenager, I was most influenced by photojournalists such as W. Eugene Smith and those working at Life Magazine and similar publications.
I studied professional photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology and photographic arts at The Polytechnic of Central London (Now it’s the University of Westminster.) Formal education introduced me to a wider range of photographic possibilities and I started to broaden my outlook.
I have worked for many years as a commercial photographer concentrating on architecture, interiors and advertising. I recently added aerial photography to my capabilities.
Clients tell me that I work hard and am very easy to get along with.
An account executive at an ad agency recently left me this message:
“I got the photos and I just wanted to tell you they really look fabulous. You did a great job. You took a very ordinary looking house and made it look very good.”
While it is great to be assigned to photograph exciting design, many of my advertising agency customers hire me to improve on less than spectacular projects.
I love architectural and interior work but I am also interested in many other aspects of photography. So I approach this web site as an outlet for personal expression as well as a place to show the work that I do for a living.
